This batch comprises Australian circulating coins issued from 1985 to 1998. The obverse is adorned with the third official imperial portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by sculptor Raphael Maklouf, showing a more mature monarch wearing the George IV State Diadem. This numismatic period marks the introduction of the 1 and 2 dollar coins alongside the phased withdrawal of the low-denomination 1 and 2 cent bronze coins.
