Established after the post-war reform, the Third Złoty era reflects the economic and ideological shifts of Socialist Poland. This period is characterized by a massive transition from early bronze and cupronickel strikes to the lightweight aluminum coinage of the 1950s-80s. As inflation rose in the late 1980s, the currency saw the introduction of high-denomination brass and cupronickel coins. This batch covers the complete spectrum of everyday money used by generations of Poles during the PRL era, from the iconic 1949 initial designs to the final issues before the 1995 redenomination.
